running report!

 when i was in KL for the summer holidays, i ate and drank so much, more so the week leading up to chinese new year that i eventually fell really sick.
i got the whole shebang (fever, chills, motherflippin' WORST headache EVER, sore throat, muscle aches, cough) and thought, if this amount of eating/drinking made me sick, it has definitely made me gained weight -__-" if that makes sense wtf. it does la ok.

anyway, i die die want to maintain my 50kgs so i panicked and bought a pair of running shoes, giving myself the ultimatum - run, or else you'll waste mama's money wtf.

when i got back to perth, i loudly declared to der: "BABY. I AM GOING TO START RUNNING."
without missing a beat, he scoffed at me and said: "but you hate running."

yes, i fucking hate running with a vengeance but i already buy new shoes so cannot waste money wtf.

i want to like running because runners are so cool - they are so in the zone with their rhythm and music and run past you while you walk, leaving a trail of awesomeness behind them indirectly going I HAVE A KILLER STAMINA BITCH.

i also want a killer stamina :( but i am so severely anaemic it's not even funny.
long story short, i found out i was deficient in haemoglobin when i went to donate blood and was told that i myself needed a blood transfusion.
want to give blood but found out i needed someone else's blood wtf FAIL.

so i decided to take it easy, pace myself and build up my rhythm steadily over the weeks.
i googled how to start running and found a general running plan for beginners because i didn't wanna overwhelm my body and pass out the first time.
which, if you know me, is totally possible.

yesterday, i skipped around the house wearing my new shoes and kept asking uncle b: "my new shoes nice or not!! NICEORNOT NICEORNOT NICEORNOT?? i'm going jogging in a while!" :D :D :D :D
uncle b: "you're going jogging because u have new shoes?" -__-"

well. yes but that's not the point wtf.

my running plan is (or was, rather) "a brisk 5 minute walk, alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes"
then i realised it was ridiculously tedious to keep up with the time and decided to just try my best la.

i briskwalked (80%) / ran (20%) for 40 minutes ^^"
i would have ran more but the pain from a variety of sources was too much to bear -___-"

came home to:
- side stitches (it started 2 minutes after i started running and is still going strong right now).
- cuts on my ankle from the first time breaking my new shoes in.
- bum/leg muscle aches (good pains so i don't really care for it).
- toe cramps (so weird but not a big deal).

the one thing that really gets to me is the grazes from the shoes.



it looks harmless & my threshold for pain is not that pathetic but man, when these comes into contact with ANYTHING especially hot water, it really fucking stings.
i was hopping around in the shower trying to minimize the contact with water. ouch.

i didn't match my bra strap with my shoes la ok -__-"
the only good thing post running is the natural blush on mah face :D

googled why i got toe cramps - found out it was from overexertion of muscles and/or nutritional issues but i think it's from me, unknowingly gripping the sole my shoes with my toes -__-"
side stitches result from weak core muscles or dehydration; in my case it's probs both wtf.
also found out i forgot to warm up, stretch and cool down. haiyo brenda wong.

ok i'm bored of typing so here is the abrupt ending wtf.
