i brought all 4 dresses that needed altering, or so i thought, to the tailor with mum today, as part of my long list of errands to run.

all of them are of knee length or they graze slightly above the knee, same shit nonetheless and i actually HATE dresses like that!

it's somewhat too decent for clubbing (wtf) and i think i look like a martyr -___-"

it looks awkward with heels because i feel like i'm 50 wtf.

i digressed.

anyway, THREE TIMES (cos i bought one design in 2 colors :D) i went to change and came out to mum and the tailor AND a couple of the customers because they overheard both of them, going:

dress 1: "it looks fine. what's the problem?"

*goes back grudgingly to dress room*

dress 2: "...not nice meh? nice what. no need to alter!"

*retreats again*

dress 3: "what you wanna alter!!! every piece looks good on you!"

*throw hands up in the air*

and there i was, totally exasperated, trying to explain my pet peeve about knee length dresses to two middle aged ladies.

obviously they didn't understand where i was coming from and just looked at me like -__-" and brushed me off T____T

after the whole thing, i think i'm overreacting lah and my dresses are quite nice, cos 2 customers asked me where i got them from :D

my narrow mind have set up a few fashion faux pas that i really can't stand but is generally, socially acceptable.

digressing again, an example of cardinal fashion sin is wearing leggings as pants. you should be shot.

among them:

- leggings with shorts; it makes the body look tooooo symmetrical/divided?

- shorts with heels/boots; ditto.

- clincher/belt over a teeshirt or singlet; loose long tops/tunics, i understand.

- dress + boots, esp knee length dresses with boots; looks touristy/eager beaver.

- highwaisted denim shorts; no reason really :\

- black and brown clothing together; depressing and an eyesore.

- silver and gold accessories together; too much sparkle.

- over-accessorizing; walking xmas tree.

- too many patterns; stripes and florals together err?

- pants (not jeans) that sit right in the middle between the knee and feet; what shoes do you wear that with?

i think they're all somewhat acceptable but i can't stand them X___x"

that's why i'm a boring dresser >______<

ok now that i got that off my chest, i feel better.

i think my knee length dresses look fine lah, i'll learn to like it -__-"

today makes it 3 days to see dear boy! :) :)

he finally replied my message after 3 days or something but tis' okay, the anticipation makes it even more worth the wait. teehee.

i was in the car today and dirty dancer by enrique iglesias feeaturing usher was playing and i immediately laughed out loud, much to mum's astonishment.

few months back, the same song was playing in the car and when der couldn't take it anymore, he burst out:

"OHMYGOD GET THE IDEA ALREADY!"

*confused* "hah? get what idea?"

this week has been somewhat eventful what with catching up with the cousins, shopping (online) and watching the final saga of harry potter series as well as supper with D :)

currently, i'm looking for a fine dining restaurant but i can't decide which but it will most probably be lafite, shangri la because of the dessert buffet! :)

...not that i have an excessive sweet tooth anyway wtf.

i also shopped way too much fml.

bought some stuff from la senza, topshop and a pair of jeffery campbell boots using ders' credit card :D *sayang*

can't wait til they all come to mama!

i'm a BB girl at heart because i *think* the iphone is more a gaming phone and the only time i play games on der/ju's phone is when i'm in the car or waiting for der to come to bed with me, otherwise i really don't play wan leh.

with a BB, i can bbm and whatsapp and reply emails on the go and to do all that, i need a qwerty keypad!

i have nothing against apple products though! i'd love to get my hands on an ipad :)

having said that, when imessage comes out ie equivalent to bbm, imma get my hands on that YO.

these photos were taken in gongcha @ the gardens, one of the big bubbletea chains that has just hit malaysia, the other (better) one being chatime.

we bonded over our supposed lunch of fusion pasta at 4pm and walked around before settling down at gong cha :)

later that night, amy and i got tickets to watch harry potter and the deathly hallows (part2).

i have said it many times and i'll say it again lah but HOW CAN PEOPLE NOT READ THE BOOK WHEN THEY WATCH THE MOVIE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

i think ppl wouldn't really understand the movie without reading the book because all 7 books are so interrelated and intricately weaved so that it all ties together in the end.

i've read each book like 4 times (at least) yet i still discover new things leh!

rowling is a frickin' legend.

if you haven't read the book OR watch any of the movies, i am .... speechless and kinda sad for you.

anyway, the movie was EPIC.

the movie, of course, deviated from the book (as always) but i thought it did judgement to the book :)

who'd have thought of all people, that neville longbottom turned out to be the hottest!
