i wanted to get a new semipro but every time i read about the specs i just totally space out.
-__-" but i actually HAVE to have a camera before july #cryptic ;)
so my birthday was last month!
unfortunately with birthdays in november, it almost always clashes with uni exams so turning 21 was quite anti climactic so to speak.
der was quite determined to make it special though so a few days prior to the 15th, he kept asking me where i wanted to go for dinner and what present do i want.
i didn't know answers to both questions wtf so i casually said "u cook for me la" and "i really don't want anything!" haha.
i'm terribly useless, i know.
so we went shopping for ingredients and cooking for me can be hard and easy at the same time, apparently.
easy, because i'm so fussy it narrows down most choices.
hard, because i'm so fussy he don't know what to cook for me wtf.
while going through the aisles:
b: oh OH babe! i want mash potatoes!! *happy, because i finally offered some input*
der: *in a disgusted tone* mashed potatoes? u serious? mash potatoes.
b: what's wrong with mash. it's quite easy what.
der: it is! why are you making this so easy for me?
b: okay? well. make it with truffle oil then *y'know, truffles being expensive and hard to get and all*
der: ...
b: be happy i'm low maintenance ok!
so that's that!
he made me chicken mignon (chicken wrapped with bacon) with garlic butter sauce, mash with black pepper sauce with brocollini.
dessert was strawberries with chocolate sauce and cream (for him).
ALLLLLLL my favourite things to eat in one day :D
i just watched telly while he slaved away :D haha awww.

i actually really really like both of them!
he was really worried i didn't like the earrings because it was clip on but i adore them because it's something i won't buy for myself and i don't have formal looking earrings!
he remembers that i wanted a key thing (symbolic for turning 21) but i told him my parents won't bother because they said i've already had my freedom years ago. which is true :)

november also saw me going for a buffet dinner at hyatt regency with them science girls.
again, the selection was truly disappointing even though the reviews on urbanspoon were positively raving -__-"
there were cold cuts, salads, prawns, cheeses, bread, pizza, stew, chicken, fish and the dessert counter.
no, really. that was it.

we had so much fun that night that we immediately came up with plans for tomorrow morning.
after narrowing it down to swan valley, caversham and basketball, we went with the easiest option that is sports @ uwa! :D

also finally when to rottnest island after 4 years of being in perth, which is one of my new favourite places here :)
all in all, love the island, hate the ferry ride which took 2 hours -__-"

no vehicles (except tour buses i think) are allowed so the air is super fresh.
we cycled 10.2 km (back and fro) to the beach and i almost passed out .___."
it was so fucking hot, my helmet strap was restricting my breathing and i was quite dehydrated plus i have low blood pressure - only natural that i had to stop for awhile before i actually fainted.
jasper was super nice giving me water and pushing my bike UPHILL at that.

the scenery was breathtaking and was well worth a sore ass the day after.
think clear waters, minimal crowd and the combination of ice cold water + sweltering hot weather - too good to pass up.
apricot nails.
we only managed to stay for 2 hours at the beach because we had to cycle back before 3pm :(
we took the ferry back (another 2 hours fuck me) and had dinner before going out to the bryneleigh for drinks!
we had a $100 voucher that team bazinga won from a quiz night so we started a bar tab worth that.
4 jugs (or so) of beer/cider, 2 cocktails and a tray of shots later, we all went home.
one of the best days filled with way too much laughter :)

juberry celebrated her 21st party at metro bar and bistro just a couple of weeks back where elegance is key!
guys were decked in suits and ladies of course brought their dresses out.
with emkay.
we the door bitches, bitches.
but after more friends started arriving we ditched the doors and headed for the bar :D
with my sun and stars (game of thrones reference) hahahaha.
seeeeeeeeeeeeee i wore the earrings he gave me! :)
